Belgium's Best design

Iconic designs such as Louis-Herman De Konick’s Cubex kitchen (1930) and Maarten Van Severen’s .03 chair (1998), pieces by Jules Wabbes (ca. 1960) or Henry van de Velde (ca. 1900), recent designs such as Bram Boo’s Overdose Desk (2007) or Sylvain Willenz’ Torch light (2008): these are just a few of 48 Belgian design objects that are presented in this book.

The selection was based on the top 10 lists with the favourite objects of over 40 Belgian designers, design experts, collectors, journalists, … These personal lists of favourites, often containing surprises and hidden gems, have been included in the back of the book.   This addition, together with the original design of the book, its refined finishing and of course the beauty and quality of the selected objects, are what makes ‘Belgium’s Best Design’ the perfect gift for connoisseurs and enthusiasts of design form the 20th and 21st centuries.

The 48 designobjects and their designers are presented in alphabetical order with a short text (in English, Dutch and French) and various photos (some of which from archives).
